In Rift, the dwarves are a fallen race. Formerly they were the first city builders, talented jewellery craftsmen and exceptional arms smithies. Now they are without a home, but they have not lost their abilities, which is why many welcome them. The dwarf names appear to turn up as either Slavic, Norse and even German names. This generator focused primarily on names of the Slavic and Norse styles as those seemed to be most prevalent among players and also more prominent. Notice that while many of the NPCs tend to be using actual Slavic or Norse names, the names in this generator are typically only sounding Slavic or Norse or a combination of both.
