Moonfolk Name Generator (Magic: The Gathering)

This name generator will send you 15 random moonfolk names appropriate for the Magic: The Gathering Universe. Moonfolk are humanoid beings with slender bodies, blue to gray eyes, extremely long ears and a slightly rabbit-like appearance overall. They live up in the Kamigawa clouds, a plane of nature that is based on Japanese culture, which is part of why the moon people sometimes look like rabbits. They base themselves on the tsuki-usagi. The moon folk usually don't concern themselves with the affairs of those who actually live below them on the surface of their planet, but instead concentrate on learning and researching magic. The Japanese influences extend to the names of Moonfolk, which are melodic and similarly built, are real Japanese names. Female names do still seem to start with a vowel and that's how the names are also formed in this generator. However, this rule is based on a small number of names that are available in the source material, so it may be considered a mistake logically that all of them began with a vowel, but I will leave it up to you whether or not you want to follow this rule. They seemed to have style names based on places, styles or even only personal names of leaders or other important figures as far as the usual card names go. 'Oboro' and 'Soratami' in 'Soratami Mindsweeper' in 'Oboro Breezecaller.' These are the only two type names and almost all there was to work with due to the limited number of cards available, but in combination with the personal naming style they formed a good base.
