This name generator will give you 15 random house names based on those of Hogwarts. School house names appear to be chosen by those who created the school, so Ravenclaw, for example, was named after Rowena Ravenclaw. This is also true in American schools, but the founders chose supernatural creatures in their case, rather than their own names. That is why we concentrated entirely on the names of British buildings. As far as those names go, they are either related to animal names or animal words (Slytherin-slithering, Hufflepuff-huff and puff), so we have often followed that. Of course, these were all coincidences from an in-universe point of view, but from a narrative point of view they were chosen more intentionally. Another thing we found is that each name is 3 syllables long, with a slight stress on the third syllable. We mostly followed this, but often, for the more randomized names, you could get some changes in which the stress will be in a word. This generator includes 2 forms of names. The first are names similar to Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff, that are predefined. For eg, names such as Heronflight, and Dragonnest. In terms of variety, these were the trickiest to make, as the naming conventions restrict the amount of animal names you can use. The names of the second group are identical to Gryffindor and to Slytherin. Names such as Dragontal, Gorgonhath, Arachnar and Lionvas. These names' endings are randomized so some names can be a little odd.

Harry Potter houses are the living and learning community for all of the students at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Each year's class of students at the same house shares a common dormitory, as well as many other courses and activities. Every member of the school is encouraged to do their best, regardless of their age. The houses compete through the year by making and losing points based on their performance on exams, tests, and other activities. Each student also has their own personal House Master to guide them through their time at Hogwarts. The House Masters is given houses based on their ranking from different Houses, and they are responsible for teaching students how to use the different rooms in the House. Students can choose to be Gryffindor or Hufflepuff, depending on their personality and which House they live in.
Harry Potter houses are located in houses all over Britain, and the school itself sits in Hogsmeade. Harry Potter is famous for the number of different houses and their differences in structure and members. There is a common House Master, though there may be differences between different houses and between each House's individual members. Houses have a motto, which is a motto that students from the House follow. Many different House Mottos is used throughout the series, but only one was used in the film adaptation of the book. Harry Potter's House Motto is "Prongs," which is what the House stands for. In the books, "Prongs" is a word that is used to describe people who will do anything to get ahead in life.
Harry Potter's House names are not used in the books themselves, but the characters in the books have used them to explain some of the history of the school and to give clues about the houses' roles in the classroom. Names for some of the Hogwarts houses include: Bellatrix Lestrange, Dolores Umbridge, Severus Snape, and Quirinus Quirectus. There are also the Black Family House, which are used for the Potter family of snakes, and the Malfoys House, which are used for the family of wolves.
