Rigelian Name Generator (Star Trek)

This generator can produce 15 random names at a time, fit for the Star Trek universe's Rigelian species. Rigelian is a name given to separate species from Rigel, making it somewhat confusing. But this generator applies directly to the Jelna. The Jelna is a humanoid animal with flat noses and carvings extending down across the eyes from the forehead and ending at the lips. Among the Jelna there are four genders, two 'exosexes' and two 'endosexes.' As in many humanoids, the exosexes can be contrasted with male and female. The exosexes had an additional Z chromosome, making them stronger and more aggressive than the endosexes. There's an endo-male (XY chromosome), endo-female (X), exo-female (XZ) and exo-male (XYZ) culture to explain. Jelna 's culture revolved around economic growth and business projects, which they've been very good at and allowed them to live in comfort. They 're very smart and industrious but they're not cruel unlike the Ferengi. The names of Jelna differ greatly, from the short and simple names to the long and complex names. Male and female names are also slightly different. Female names end more often in a vowel and raise softer sounds, but the differences can be very slight. Because the endosexes are more delicate and usually weaker than the exosexes, using the stronger and harder sounding names of both male and female names might work better for the exosexes, while the softer names could work better for the endosexes. That, of course, is up to you and to your own understanding.

Rigelians were subspecies of Vulcans. However, they were not Vulcans, but rather a new race created during the 22nd century. The name "Rigelian" was given to different races and cultures usually native to the Beta or Alpha Rigel stars. Specifically, Rigelian was the demonym for any inhabitants of the Alpha Rigel system regardless of their race.

One of its main characteristics was that it was quite tough and resilient species. The fact that its ancestors were originally from the Beta and Alpha Rigels helped it adapt to the harshness of its environment. They also enjoyed many freedoms as a people because of their unique culture. It also had a strong military in comparison to other Vulcans, but it was not considered as dominant as the Vulcans. It did not have a Federation at that time.

The Rigelfi Star Trek: Betrayal and the Star Trek: First Contact films showed that it had been conquered by the Klingon Empire and then by the Romulan Empire. They later joined with the Federation in the Star Trek: Enterprise. Another notable character in this species is Captain Jean-Luc Picard (Picard). He is a member of that species in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episode "Trials and Tribble-ations".
