This name generator will send you 15 random names for the Unggoy, which is part of the Halo universe. Unggoy are tiny, low-powered vertebrate creatures. The covenant uses them for manual labour, mostly as slaves, and they often appear to be used in wars as cannon-fodder. They are the lowest in rank of the covenant groups, and are frequently mistreated due to their place and vulnerability. Unggoy names consist of one or two syllables and are very melodic and straightforward. Names such as 'Flim' and 'Flipyap.' Palindrome names like 'Zawaz' or 'Dabad' are also very popular. We haven't found anything on female names, but assuming their names will be quite similar to male names is reasonable. Picking names that sound more feminine or not for female Unggoy would be a personal preference, but Unggoy are simple beings, feminine and masculine, whether they have any meaning to them at all, would not have the same meaning as it does to us.

Unggoy are a small race in Covenant society. The Unggoy (Greek, Monachos frigus, literally meaning "cold man") are an insectoid race of quadrupedal arthropods from the Covenant. They're often mistreated by most high-ranking Covenant races (Kig-Yar, Jiralhanae etc), and are often considered subhuman. There is, however, one species that has given Unggoy a more respectable status - the Jiralhanae. The Unggoy often look up to their Kig-Yar comrades as noble warriors - and while Unggoy are not all warlike, they do make some excellent warriors.
In Halo, the Unggoy are one of the many alien species that live on the planet Reach. On Reach, these Unggoy serve as guards and hunters for the Covenant's fleet of space vessels. The Unggoy are one of only three different species that appear in Halo's multiplayer modes - the other ones being the Kig-Yar Elite. These Unggoy are very aggressive but surprisingly smart, and can be quite deadly in close-quarters combat. They are known to use their melee attacks with some consistency, and can also use their abilities like energy shields to protect themselves. The Unggoy do have some disadvantages, however, as their low size can make them easy targets, as well as their limited mobility.
As an enemy, the Unggoy appear in a variety of different ways in Halo multiplayer games. They are often used as foot soldiers by the Kig-Yar, who are seen using Unggoy as shock troops or to distract the enemy. Unggoy can also be encountered by the Halo Elite ranks, either as a primary objective or a secondary mission objective (as in most multiplayer maps) - the Elite Unggoy is a more powerful variant than the standard Unggoy. The Covenant use Unggoy as cannon fodder during battle, sometimes throwing grenades at them from afar, or firing at them from close range with their Energy Swords. and in rare cases, using them to take down larger vehicles.
